Having just renewed my hosting, I wanted to praise my hosting provider: Hostgator. I’ve been with Hostgator for almost four months now and their service has been absolutely superb. I’m currently on their “Baby” shared hosting plan, which, for $9.95 per month, offers an incredible amount of storage and bandwidth (100GB storage/1000GB bandwidth). Not once since EarnOverTheWeb was created has there been any slowing or service outage, supporting evidence for their claim of 99.9% uptime.
Since similar hosting costs, bandwidth, and storage can be found at other sites, there have to be some things that sets Hostgator ahead of its competitors, and there most certainly are. With every hosting plan, HostGator also includes their amazingly customized version of cPanel X, with many different site monitoring utilities as well as a script called Fantastico, which, with one click, can automatically install and update 52 different scripts and modules, including WordPress, phpBB, cubecart, phpwiki, and so many other useful tools for your site. All of the compicated customization and uploading is reduced to one click on a list with descriptions of each software.
To try a demo of their cPanel software, visit http://67.18.39.34/cpanel and login with username: demo password: demo
Two other things they offer are a 30-day money-back guarantee and live 24/7/365 support. Their support is always available via phone, and even better, it is available through instant live chat at their site. Their support chat has helped me on three different occasions, in each case providing a quick, accurate solution to my questions.
If you need a domain, you can purchase it through Hostgator at the time of signup. They also offer a guide for those switching from previous hosts to streamline their domain setup with little or no downtime. For those new to the web-hosting game, Hostgator has a set of tips detailing how to pick a good host and domain registrar, as well as avoiding scams and bad businesses. This is an invaluable resource.
I hope that I’ve done the company justice and spread the word. For those who have experienced problems with their current host or are thinking about creating a website, you should definitely check out Hostgator.

I am looking to making an actual website of my own some time but don’t really know how to set it up. Do you use dreamweaver? Where do you get the HTML code for people to add comments like this? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
