Yesterday I told all of you about the search and win site called Blingo. Just today, I discovered another, even better one called Winzy. Winzy is a search engine that gives away free prizes when you use it to search the web. You can win iPods, gift certificates, Xboxes and cash prizes up to $100,000.
Each time you search on Winzy, you earn 2 points. If you use the Winzy search plugin, toolbar, or homepage, you get up to 50 searches a day (100 points). You also earn points for telling friends, each referral is 250 points and you also earn whatever they win if they win. If you display a Winzy banner or button on your website, you earn 5 points for every unique view. Finally, Winzy offers three games: Rock-Paper-Scissors, Roulette, and Slots. You can wager your points on these games to have a chance at multiplying them.
There are a lot of ways to win on Winzy:
- Each search gives you a chance at an instant win prize
- Any prize that a friend wins you win as well
- Each month there is a drawing, and each point you have is essentially a ticket into the drawing.
- Gold members and Winzy Fans (people who have referred others) are entered into additional monthly drawings for Xbox 360’s and iPods.

Chances are that in a day, you use Google or a similar search engine at least once a day. Blingo is a site that allows you to turn those searches into prizes and cash. It’s been around for quite a while, so I’m always surprised when many haven’t heard of it. Blingo uses the google search engine, so you are not sacrificing any quality of searches if you start searching through their site.
Each search (up to 25 are allowed per day) is a chance to win prizes or cash instantly. To date Blingo has given away 44,413 prizes, and new prizes are announced on the site every day. These range from a simple movie ticket or gift certificate to LCD TV’s or $1000. The most I’ve won is a $10 gift certificate, but I only recently started to use the site after about a year of inactivity. Each household is allowed to claim two prizes per month.
One great thing about Blingo is that if you tell your friends about it, whenever they win a prize, you also win that prize, even if it’s something as big as a car. This way, you have a lot more chances to win, and it helps to build the community.
Blingo offers a search plugin so that users of Firefox ad IE7 can search straight through their search box in their browser. They also offer a toolbar which is spyware-free, but then again, who needs another toolbar when you can use a simple search plugin or set it as your homepage.
You have nothing to lose when using Blingo, and since it uses Google, you have no excuse not to switch to it as your default search. Start winning when you search the web!
